When adjusting the width of the Compella™ Bariatric Bed, why does the bed keep beeping?

The Compella™ bed is intended to be operated at either 40” or 50.” In the event the bed has not reached the fully expanded or retracted position, a visual indicator light located next to the control will flash amber until bed is fully expanded or retracted. Additionally, a continuous triple beep will sound until the bed is adjusted to the fully expanded or retracted position.

To adjust the width of the bed, press and hold the “width expand” or “width retract” control until you hear a single beep confirming the desired width has been achieved. A solid green light will illuminate to indicate the bed is fully expanded or fully retracted.
