Located in the upper side rail close to the patient’s head the Line of Site® head angle indicator provides a quick reference point for checking angle of head elevation.

When activated the alarm sounds when the head of bed drops below 30º. If the head of bed has not been elevated after certain time periods the alarm will sound a reminder.

The alarm records how many hours and minutes the head of bed was elevated greater than 30º degrees within a 24 hr period. Eight additional days of statistics available on the Graphical Caregiver Interface (GCI) screen. This information can be used for clinical audit purposes.
