Health Care

The health plan for Hill-Rom employees in the U.S. includes medical, dental, and vision. Health care premiums are deducted on a before-tax basis.

Prescription Drug Benefits

The prescription drug benefit includes both retail and mail-order pharmacy.

Dental Benefits

The plan covers preventive, basic and major services and Orthodontia for children.

Vision Plan

A vision plan is also offered on a voluntary basis. It provides coverage for eye exams, lenses, frames and contact lenses every 2 years.

Life Insurance

Accidental Death & Dismemberment Coverage
Coverage provides an additional benefit in the event of death as a result of an accident. A reduced benefit will be paid under this program upon loss of limb, sight, speech, hearing or becoming disabled.

Business Travel Accident Coverage
A benefit of $200,000 is provided to an employee’s beneficiary in the event of accidental death while traveling on Company business.

Voluntary Accidental Death & Dismemberment Coverage
Employees can purchase additional accidental death and dismemberment coverage for themselves and their family at group rates.


Short Term and Long Term Disability Coverage

Both short and long-term disability is provided.

Flexible Spending Accounts

Tax favored spending accounts allow employees to pay for a variety of out-of-pocket health care and dependent day care expenses with before-tax money. There are two types of FSA programs:

· Health Care Account - Participation in the Health Care Spending Account allows employees to pay for health care expenses with before-tax money.

· Dependent Care Account - This account allows participants to contribute monies on a before tax basis for qualified dependent day care expenses.

401(k) Plan

The Company contributes 4% of eligible pay into an employee’s 401(k) account regardless of whether or not he/she decides to make contributions. Employees decide how the money in their account is invested through Fidelity.

Employees also can contribute to the Plan on a pre-tax basis up to 40% of their base pay (subject to IRS limits).

Tuition Reiumbursement

After six months of employment employees may be 100% reimbursed for the cost of tuition, registration, and lab fees for approved courses of study, which will increase their competence in their present jobs or prepare them for future related assignments.

Vacation Benefits

Vacation time off with pay is provided based upon years of service.
