VersaCare A.I.R.™ Surface Maximum protection with the Active Integrated Response (A.I.R.) surface With its integrated air surface, the VersaCare® pressure ulcer treatment and prevention mattress helps provide the maximum level of patient treatment. The A.I.R. surface works with the intelligence of the bed to accommodate the patient’sweight and bed position. The A.I.R. surface on the Versacare® pressure ulcer treatment bed offers three independent zones of continuous low pressure to reduce the peak pressures that cause and aggravate skin ulcers. With the A.I.R.surface, treatment begins on admission. The heel zone is specifically designed with “low pressure” air cushions to protect one of the most sensitive, high-risk areas for pressure ulcer development. The VersaCare A.I.R.™ surface is appropriate for use in the prevention / treatment of Stage I, II and uncomplicated Stage III / IV pressure ulcers*. Easier to turn and transfer patients With its Turn Assist feature, the A.I.R.™ surface on the Versacare pressure ulcer prevention mattress makes it easier for a single caregiver to perform patient examinations, linen changes, and other routine tasks. Max Inflate provides a firmer surface making it easier for the caregiver to reposition patients in bed, perform procedures, or transfer them to another surface.
* An uncomplicated Stage III or IV Pressure Ulcer is not accompanied by factors that complicate or impede wound healing. These include: cellulitis, bone and joint infections, necrotizing fasciitis, gas gangrene (myonecrosis), sepsis and cancer which impacts skin squamous cells or lymph nodes in the tissues adjacent to the pressure ulcer."
